The Mediating Role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior from Islamic Perspective: a Case Study

This research is a case study at PT Primayudha Mandirijaya, which has experienced a decline in production target realization over the past two years. The aim of this study is to determine the strength of the influence of adversity quotient, self-esteem, and social support on employee performance at PT Primayudha Mandirijaya, with Organizational Citizenship Behavior from an Islamic Perspective (OCBIP) as an intervening variable. The research uses a quantitative method by collecting primary data through the distribution of questionnaires to 91 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The collected data were then processed using SPSS version 26. The analysis tests include instrument testing, classical assumption testing, hypothesis testing, and path analysis. The testing results indicate that self-esteem and OCBIP have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Meanwhile, adversity quotient and social support do not significantly affect employee performance. The mediation test shows that OCBIP can mediate the influence of self-esteem and social support on employee performance, but it cannot mediate the other two variables. Based on these findings, it is hoped that the company can enhance employee performance through an organizational culture that fosters mutual support among employees based on Islamic values, as manifested in OCBIP. The novelty of this research lies in the use of OCBIP as an intervening variable in implementing Surah Al-Maidah, verse 2 of the Qur'an in the workplace, a topic that has not been extensively explored in previous studies
