Abstract

The problem in this study is whether using concept maps can improve student learning outcomes on the theme of ecosystems in grade IV of SDN Eteng? The purpose of this study is to explain the improvement in student learning outcomes on the theme of ecosystems by using concept maps in grade IV of SDN Eteng. This research was conducted at SDN Eteng, involving 20 students consisting of 12 boys and 8 girls who were registered in the 2023/2024 academic year. This study uses the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart research design which consists of two cycles. Where in each cycle there are two meetings in class and each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed that in the action of cycle I, classical completeness was obtained 60% and the classical absorption of students was 64.17%. In the action of cycle II, classical completeness was obtained 100% and the classical absorption of students was 81.5%. This means that learning in cycle II has met the success indicators with a classical learning completeness of at least 80% and a classical absorption of at least 65%. Thus, it can be concluded that learning using concept maps can improve student learning outcomes on the ecosystem theme in grade IV of SDN Eteng
