Abstract

This research aims to optimize the computer network services at SMP Negeri 55 Central Maluku Regency, to support the teaching-learning process and administrative activities within the school. The main problems identified include unstable network connectivity, limited infrastructure, and a lack of effective network maintenance and management. The research methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation to gather accurate field data. The analysis results indicate that the existing network does not adequately meet the school's operational needs. Therefore, a network redesign is proposed, including the use of more appropriate hardware, reorganization of cable pathways, and the implementation of network management software. The proposed optimization is expected to result in a more stable, faster, and secure network service. This research provides a practical contribution to improving the quality of information technology services in primary education environments
