Abstract

Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the world. Along with this growth, many new mosques have emerged, but they are not always accompanied by good mosque performance. The purpose of this research is to provide an understanding of the relationship between mosque resources, business model, and mosque performance in Indonesia. This study involved 308 respondents who regularly or have made repeat visits to the mosque. Respondents participated by completing questionnaires through online surveys. The data were analyzed using path analysis. The results of this research indicate that mosque resources and the business model play an important role in improving mosque performance. Adequate resources and the implementation of an appropriate business model are necessary to achieve good performance. Mosque resources influence mosque performance both directly and through the application of a business model as a supporting factor. The novelty of this research lies in testing and analyzing the relationship between mosque resources, business model, and mosque performance in a single model, as well as revealing the important role of the business model as a factor that affects the relationship between resources and mosque performance
