Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of students' communication skills in the aspects of listening, writing, and speaking in relation to the use of social media as a learning stimulus. The background of this study stems from preliminary findings that student engagement in active communication in the classroom is still low, especially in expressing opinions and comprehending information thoroughly. The research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, involving 11 students from Medan State High School 6 as samples. Data was collected through tests, observations, and interviews. The results of the study indicate that social media can be a learning tool that supports the development of students' communication skills when strategically integrated into the learning process.These findings provide a basis for teachers to design innovative, communicative learning strategies that are tailored to the needs of students in the digital age
