Anxiety can be defined as a feeling of confusion and worry about something that will happen, often for no apparent reason, and is associated with an unstable emotional condition. One of the causes of anxiety is surgery, including cesarean section. Many factors influence the level of preoperative anxiety in cesarean section patients, including the level of knowledge, level of education, support from partners, economic conditions, and psychological factors. The impact of preoperative anxiety is often related to fear of unfamiliar procedures, possible pain from injections, concerns about postoperative wounds, dependence on others, or fear of the threat of death that can arise from surgical procedures and anesthesia. In addition, this anxiety can also increase the need for analgesics, prolong hospitalization, and is associated with the risk of postpartum depression, including the possibility of disability or death. This study aims to determine the frequency of mild, moderate, and severe anxiety levels in preoperative cesarean section patients at the TNI-AD Kesrem Hospital TK IV IM. 07. 01 Lhokseumawe
