Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of competency development and transformational leadership on employee performance with employee engagement as an intervening variable at the General Secretariat of the Corruption Eradication Commission. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type, the unit of analysis used is employees at the General Secretariat of the Corruption Eradication Commission, the population that is the object of study is all employees at the General Secretariat, totaling 194 people, the sampling technique uses probability sampling with simple random sampling, the sample are 112 employees, data collection in this study was carried out using a questionnaire measured using a Likert scale, explanation and confirmation of the research results were carried out using SmartPLS software. The results of this study are that the better the competency development, the better the employee engagement, the better the transformational leadership, the better the employee engagement, the better the competency development, the better the performance, transformational leadership does not affect the performance, the better the employee engagement, the better the employee performance, the better the competency development, the better the employee performance through the employee engagement, the better the transformational leadership, the better the employee performance through the employee engagement
