Abstract

Despite advances in information technology that allow people to shop easily, it has left several problems, including the development of a consumerist lifestyle resulting from shopping behavior that ignores the aspects of need and utility. This phenomenon also affects young people living in the Tanjung Dapura area. Therefore, our community service team from Makassar State University conducted an outreach program for young people to shop based on their needs only. This one-day activity was attended by 21 participants. The participants welcomed the activity and paid close attention to the material presented, which was followed by discussions and information sharing. They hoped that similar activities could be carried out continuously
