Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of students at SDN 010 Tanjung Pengapit regarding dental and oral hygiene. The activity was carried out through counseling, demonstrations of toothbrushing techniques, and toothbrushing competitions to increase participant engagement. The implementation method included interactive lectures, educational video screenings, demonstrations, and evaluations of participants' initial and final understanding. The activity was held on August 16, 2024, with 50 participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of how to maintain oral hygiene and correct toothbrushing techniques, demonstrated by participants' active participation in answering questions, practical demonstrations, and recorded changes in basic behavior. This program demonstrated the effectiveness of practice-based counseling in increasing dental health awareness among school-age children
